Q: Could you sum up your company for us?

A:Velocity Capital is an EIS Venture Capital Fund, investing in Start-up to Series A UK companies (typically with £1 million ARR). Our job is to ensure that these companies reach £10 million ARR within 3 years and £20 million within 5 years. At this stage, we look to provide our investors with at least a 5x return on capital. To date, we’ve invested in over 70 companies and have £70 million under management. 

Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received or given?

A: Deliver Bad News quickly

Q: What is something you wish you’d always known?

A: Don’t dwell too much on problems, tomorrow is another day

Q: What does your typical working day look like?

A: Dealing with multiple companies. Every day is a different day. When running a start-up company, there is always some crisis management involved but there is some beauty in the chaos.
